Privacy Policy

The short version

This site collects one thing, in one place: if you sign up for the Space Traders closed beta with your Google account, we receive the email address and name on that account. We use them to send you beta invites and build announcements, and for nothing else. The beta page also uses Google's ad measurement to count how many signups came from our ads. The rest of the site collects nothing.

What we collect and why

Beta signup (/beta/): signing up uses Google's "Sign in with Google". Google sends us a signed token containing your email address, your name, and a Google account identifier. We store these, with a timestamp, in a private spreadsheet. We use them solely to manage the closed beta list and email you about the beta from play@pacificislandventures.com.

Ad measurement (/beta/ only): we advertise the beta on Google Ads, and the beta page includes Google's conversion measurement tag. If you reach the page from one of our ads, it lets Google tell us that an ad led to a signup — a count, not your identity; the ad report never shows us who you are. The tag sets Google cookies and is covered by Google's privacy policy; you can control how Google uses ad data at myadcenter.google.com.

Everything else: this is a static website. Beyond the ad measurement above, we run no analytics, set no cookies of our own, and use no trackers. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the beta page loads Google's sign-in script; those requests go to Google and are covered by Google's privacy policy.

What we don't do

We never sell, share, or trade your email address or name with anyone. We don't use them for marketing beyond the beta itself, and we don't combine them with data from anywhere else.

Coming off the list

Email play@pacificislandventures.com from the address you signed up with and ask to be removed. We'll delete your row and stop emailing you.
